Are you looking for an English-speaking therapist in Eindhoven? Perhaps you are struggling with anxiety, stress, difficult experiences, relationship problems or a lack of confidence. You may also feel overwhelmed, stuck in familiar patterns or unsure about what you need to feel better.
My name is Feige Brink. I am a therapist, EMDR therapist and relationship coach based in Eindhoven. I offer therapy and counselling in English for adults, couples, children and young people.
I believe that everyone has their own story and their own way of dealing with difficulties. Together, we explore what is troubling you and which approach may best suit your situation.
What can I help you with?
You are welcome to contact me about a wide range of emotional and personal difficulties.
Sometimes you know exactly what you would like help with. At other times, you may simply feel that something is not right, without being able to explain why.
Below are some of the main areas in which I offer support.
EMDR therapy
Have you experienced something distressing that continues to affect you?
Perhaps memories of an accident, violence, bullying or another difficult experience still trigger fear, sadness or tension.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a therapeutic method that can help people process distressing memories and reduce the emotional intensity associated with them.
I use EMDR for certain trauma-related difficulties, anxiety and negative beliefs about yourself.
We discuss your experiences and explore whether EMDR is an appropriate approach for you.
Trauma and difficult childhood experiences
Experiences from the past can continue to influence how you feel, think and respond to situations today.
You may struggle with feelings of insecurity, fear of rejection or difficulties trusting yourself and others.
Sometimes there is one particularly distressing event. In other situations, several experiences from childhood or later life may have contributed to recurring emotional patterns.
I offer support in exploring these experiences and their impact on your present life.
Depending on your needs, I may use EMDR, counselling or inner child work.
Anxiety, panic and phobias
Do you worry excessively, experience panic attacks or avoid situations because they make you anxious?
Perhaps you struggle with social anxiety, fear of failure, fear of rejection or a particular phobia.
Anxiety can have a significant impact on your everyday life, especially when you begin to organise your activities around avoiding uncomfortable feelings.
Together, we explore what triggers your anxiety, what may be keeping it going and how you can develop different ways of responding to it.
Where appropriate, EMDR may form part of the therapy.
Relationship counselling and couples coaching
Are you and your partner having difficulty communicating? Do the same arguments keep returning, or do you feel that you have grown apart?
Perhaps you miss the closeness and understanding you once shared. Or trust has been damaged and you are unsure how to move forward together.
As a relationship coach, I help couples explore their communication patterns, feelings and needs.
During our sessions, we may use conversations, questionnaires and practical exercises, including activities to work on together at home.
The aim is to help you understand each other better and explore how to rebuild trust, intimacy and connection.
You can also come individually if you are struggling with relationship patterns, fear of abandonment or emotional dependency.
Highly sensitive people (HSP)
Do you feel easily overwhelmed by noise, busy environments or other people's emotions?
You may be highly sensitive and find that everyday situations sometimes demand more energy than you have available.
Being highly sensitive can bring valuable qualities, such as empathy and awareness of subtle details. However, it can also be challenging when you struggle with overstimulation, fatigue or setting boundaries.
I help highly sensitive people understand their reactions and discover practical ways to manage stimuli, recognise their needs and create more balance in daily life.
Support for highly sensitive children and parents
I also work with children and young people who struggle with high sensitivity, anxiety, insecurity or overwhelming emotions.
Perhaps your child becomes easily overstimulated, has difficulty sleeping or reacts strongly to situations that other children seem to manage without difficulty.
As a mother of four children, I have experienced how different children's personalities and needs can be.
In my work with children, I take their individual experiences into account and involve parents where appropriate.
Together, we explore what may help your child feel more understood and supported.
Stress and burnout
Do you feel constantly tired, tense or overwhelmed?
Perhaps you have been pushing yourself for a long time, taking on too many responsibilities or finding it difficult to say no.
In our sessions, we explore what is draining your energy and which personal patterns may contribute to your stress.
We also pay attention to recognising your limits, listening to your needs and finding a healthier balance between responsibilities and personal wellbeing.
Self-esteem, confidence and personal boundaries
Do you often doubt yourself or worry about what others think of you?
Perhaps you find it difficult to express your opinions, stand up for yourself or say no without feeling guilty.
Sometimes these patterns are connected to earlier experiences or beliefs you have developed about yourself.
I help you explore these patterns and practise responding differently, so that you can develop greater confidence and become more aware of your own needs and boundaries.
Coaching and personal development
You do not need to have a specific psychological complaint to seek support.
Perhaps you are facing an important decision, feel dissatisfied with your current situation or are unsure which direction you want your life to take.
You may feel that you have lost touch with what matters to you.
Through coaching, we explore your wishes, values and recurring patterns, and consider what changes could help you move forward.
I also offer walking coaching as an alternative to conversations in the therapy room.
Other emotional and personal difficulties
You are also welcome if you are dealing with grief, loss, low mood, loneliness, sleep difficulties or challenging emotions.
Even if your particular concern is not mentioned here, you can contact me to discuss whether my approach may be suitable.
My approach to therapy
I have been working as a therapist in Eindhoven since 2006 and have completed additional training in EMDR, anxiety coaching, inner child work and relationship coaching.
I do not use one fixed approach for everyone.
During our sessions, I listen to your personal story and explore your feelings, experiences and the patterns that may be affecting your life.
Depending on your needs, we may use conversations, coaching, EMDR or practical exercises.
I believe it is important that you feel heard and understood, and that we work together at a pace that suits you.
Therapy in English in Eindhoven and online
My practice is located in Eindhoven, where I welcome English-speaking clients for therapy, counselling and coaching.
You do not need to speak Dutch to contact me or discuss your personal concerns.
I also offer online sessions for suitable types of support. We can discuss whether meeting online or in person would be the better option for your situation.
Taking the next step
Perhaps you would like to feel less anxious, process a difficult experience, improve your relationship or develop greater confidence in yourself.
Or maybe you are not sure what you need, but would appreciate someone listening and helping you explore your situation.
You are welcome to get in touch.
If you would like more information or wish to arrange an appointment, please contact me.
